About Posh Petunia
The Posh Petunia’s creation came to be when the owner, Kelly Farber, was inspired by the beautiful rebuild of Lily Lu in Bozeman, MT. Kelly was working as a manager in a children’s clothing showroom, The Closet, at the time. After close to 4 years there, and seeing the photos of Lily Lu, she decided it was time to go out on her own. Although she has no children of her own yet, the education and experience she gained by working with every high-end children’s boutique in the South was immeasurable.
After several weeks of searching the Thesaurus, having friends text fun kid friendly words, and even having a naming party, Kelly was still struggling for the perfect one. She had her extremely witty little brother, Chris, get on the task. Within 20 minutes he had come up with a great list of ideas including, Sugar Boogers (She still loves this one!), Accidents Happen and Petunia Breath. AH HA! Petunia Breath is what Kelly and Chris’ mother used to call them. Their mother passed away a few years ago, so Kelly was determined to figure out how to make this idea work. Obviously no one would understand what a Petunia Breath was, but then Kelly’s friend Stefanie took one of the many Thesaurus list ideas and said “What about Posh Petunia?”
And here we are…..
For now, The Posh Petunia caters to the little ones. They carry sizes newborn-10 for girls and newborn-4T for boys. The Posh Petunia has a boutique setting that makes for happy Mommy and Grand-mommy shopping. But bring the kiddos in… Fashion Shows are always welcome!
